Kubera is among the most anticipated films because it marks the debut partnership between Nagarjuna Akkineni and Dhanush. The distinctive feature is that Sekhar Kammula, well known for Fidaa, is directing it. On June 20, 2025, the social drama, which has been in development for the previous two years, is scheduled to premiere.

Specifics of the Kubera OTT platform

The film generated a lot of excitement at the pre-release party that was just held in Chennai. As we at OTTplay have previously disclosed, Amazon Prime purchased the digital rights for a significant sum—the highest sum in the careers of Nagarjuna and Dhanush.

Amazon has now secured a strong OTT release window, we have learned. According to one of the sources close to the team, Kubera will be available on Amazon Prime Video a month after it hits theaters. Amazon and the producers reached an agreement on a large amount for the digital release of this agreement.

Sunil Narang, one of the movie's producers, has also corroborated this by stating that his picture has brought good money for the OTT rights. With two renowned South Indian celebrities at his disposal, Sekhar Kammula has generated a lot of excitement with his promotions, and everyone is curious to see what he has planned.

According to the news, Nagarjuna, best known for his roles in Allari Alludu, Govinda Govenda, and Snehamante Idera, plays a unique part in this movie and is thrilled to be seen in a fresh light. One of the film's biggest surprises will be the female lead, played by Rashmika Mandanna.

The Telugu states love Kubera.

Kubera is the next major release in Tamil and Telugu, and the movie is earning decent rates for its theatrical distribution, owing to Nagarjuna's participation. We still need to evaluate how much this high-budget picture will earn over its lifetime, and special premieres have been scheduled in advance of its release.

For now, the OTT release will happen within a month of its theatrical release, in the third week of July 2025.
