Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Set for Theatrical Re-Release: Farhan Akhtar’s Milkha Singh Biopic Gets New Release Date

The legendary Milkha Singh's life story served as the basis for the renowned sports biography Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which is now being re-released in theaters. The re-release was made public by exhibitor PVR-INOX, who said that the film will be shown in chosen PVR cinemas around the nation. More than ten years after its debut in 2013, the movie, which features Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor, will be back on the big screen on July 18.

In order to play the lead part, Farhan Akhtar underwent a significant physical and mental metamorphosis to embody the renowned runner. "It was both a privilege and a duty to portray Milkha Singh. In a statement, Farhan expressed his gratitude that people will once again have the opportunity to see the film on the big screen, where its heart and soul really come to life.
Sonam described the film as a "deeply emotional experience," stating her affinity for it.

Since its release, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which was helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and produced by Viacom18 Studios and ROMP Pictures, has been a standard in Indian film due to its compelling narrative, emotional complexity, and uplifting themes. Milkha Singh's transformation from a survivor of the horrors of Partition to one of India's most renowned athletes, known as the "Flying Sikh," is depicted in the movie.
Prakash Raj and Divya Dutta are also in the movie, which has a memorable score by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and a highly praised screenplay by Prasoon Joshi.
