The nominees for the 2025 edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), which honors the best in Indian film and streaming material, have been formally announced. The largest celebration of Indian film outside India, IFFM, is now in its 16th year.

The festival, which is sponsored by the Victorian Government, will take place between August 14 and 24, and the IFFM Awards Night will be held on August 15 to recognize cinematic brilliance in both film and OTT categories. A distinguished panel made up of some of the most respected figures in Australian cinema and cultural landscape, such as Theatre Director and Film Producer Nadia Tass and Garth Davis, the director of Dev Patel-Nicole Kidman's Lion, will choose the winners.

This year's selection, which includes mainstream superhits, indie discoveries, regional gems, and binge-worthy series, is focused on projects that were taken into consideration between June 15, 2024, and June 14, 2025. Only OTT nominations from Australian platforms are eligible.

Superboys of Malegaon, Maharaj, and L2: Empuraan are a few of the films and television shows that have received the most nominations. The series categories are dominated by Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper, Paatal Lok 2, and Manorathangal on the streaming side.
