Despite the film's theatrical debut on April 10, Mammootty and newcomer director Deeno Dennis's game-thriller Bazooka did not cause a stir at the box office. However, the megastar's followers are still anticipating the film's OTT debut.

We can now confirm that the film's producers have locked its OTT partner. Z5 (formerly known as ZEE5) has secured the streaming rights for the expensive film, which also features Gautham Vasudev Menon in a key role, and will soon disclose its OTT release date.

On OTT, where can I watch Mammootty's Bazooka?

In addition to Hakim Shajahan of Pranaya Vilasam fame, Bramayugam star Siddharth Bharathan, Bhama Arun, and Dinu Dennis, Bazooka also features Mammootty as a forensic specialist who is hired by a group of police officers to find a master gamer who is responsible for a string of robberies around the state.

Mammootty's second release this year, following Gautham Vasudev Menon's Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, was Bazooka. Following the acquisition of the former's OTT rights, team sources have also stated that negotiations are ongoing for the producers of Dominic to complete the film's OTT agreement.

According to reports, Mammootty plays a serial killer in Kalam Kaval, which is directed by Jithin K. Jose and for which the filming has already been finished. Vinayakan also has a key part in the film. This month, the megastar is also scheduled to return to production on the highly anticipated Mahesh Narayanan film, in which he will share screen time with Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban.

Why you should watch Bazooka on OTT

Despite the applause for the idea of Deeno Dennis's Bazooka, critics and audiences deemed its implementation to be subpar. But the majority of the audience loved Mammootty's portrayal in the movie, particularly the second half, where he succeeds in rescuing it during the exciting conclusion moments.

The film Alappuzha Gymkhana, which was also released on April 10 alongside Bazooka, will be available on SonyLIV starting June 13.
