Azadi, the latest Malayalam film starring Sreenath Bhasi in the lead role, has made its OTT debut. Helmed by Jo George, the thriller film is available for streaming on two platforms. Manorama Max brings you Azadi in its original Malayalam version, while Sun NXT (OTTplay Premium) is streaming the film in Tamil.

The Malayalam thriller Azadi, which hit in theatres on May 23, 2025, has made its OTT premiere on June 27, a month after its theatrical release. Manorama Max had secured the digital rights of the Sreenath Bhasi-led film in advance and announced the OTT release date earlier itself. This comes as a pleasant surprise, as most Malayalam films confirm their OTT partners only after their theatrical debut. In addition to Manorama Max, the film is also streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium with Tamil audio.

Although Azadi did receive favorable reviews, it was not widely attended. The movie centers around an exciting story of an accused woman attempting to evade the law. It is anticipated that Azadi will be able to reach a wider audience across languages since the movie is available on two streaming platforms.

The plot and cast of the Azadi

The thrilling story of a pregnant woman who is incarcerated and how her husband plots her escape when she is admitted to the Kottayam hospital for the birth is told in Azadi. As their former adversaries also show up at the hospital, the story becomes more convoluted.

Sreenath Bhasi plays Raghu, and Raveena plays the expectant mother Ganga. Vani Viswanath, who plays an IPS officer, is joined by notable performers like Lal and Saiju Kurup.

Pariwar, a unique family film starring Indrans, Jagadish, and Alexander Prasanth, arrived on Prime Video earlier this week. Prince and Family, which stars Dileep, and Alappuzha Gymkhana, which stars Naslen and other young actors, have also made their streaming debuts. OTTplay Premium has both movies.
