Akshay Kumar starts shooting for his Telugu debut in Hyderabad | Details inside

Kannappa is one of the biggest films in the career of Vishnu Manchu. It was his dad, Mohan Babu's dream to do a film on the life of Kannappa, and it is finally happening now, and Vishnu Manchu himself plays the lead role. The film is done with 50% of its shoot, and we had already reported that star Hindi actor Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of Lord Shiva.

Akshay Kumar to play Lord Shiva in Kannappa

The latest update is that Akshay Kumar has started shooting for the same. Today, a small video was released that shows Akshay Kumar meeting Mohan Babu in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Akshay plays a cameo in the film, and he has been paid big bucks to play the role of Lord Shiva.

Going into details, Vishnu Manchu met Akshay Kumar a few weeks ago and narrated his part. The star hero loved his role and gave his nod right away. Kannappa will be Akshay Kumar's Telugu debut. He made his Tamil debut with the Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 in the direction of Shankar.

Mohan Lal and Prabhas to play cameos in Kannappa

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Prabhas will also be seen in a cameo in this film. He will start shooting next month, and as per the news, he has given seven days of his dates for his role. Vishnu Manchu has made sure that he brings a few big names to be a part of this prestigious film, and the same is happening as Malayalam superstar, Mohan Lal will also be seen in a cameo in this film.

The Manchu family is spending close to Rs 200 crore on this film. A chunk of the shoot has happened in New Zealand and the rest will be shot in sets. Kannappa is being directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and has camerawork by Sheldon Chau.

Kecha Khamphakdee is composing the Action, and Prabhu Deva is composing the songs. In the days to come, there is also news that a popular Tamil star will be seen in a cameo. Let's wait and watch.
