It appears that Aamir Khan has turned down Prime Video's Rs. 120 crore bid for his film Sitaare Zameen Par. The actor took this action, according to trade expert Komal Nahata, to ensure that his film has at least an eight-week gap before its OTT release. "A source close to News18 said, 'The idea is to make people choose the big screen experience again by not giving them the home-viewing option so soon.'"

Aamir Khan almost confirms the news in a new interview

Aamir Khan seems to have confirmed the same information in an interview with the New Indian Express. "I have received a lot of offers and contracts, but I have rejected them all," he stated.

The actor's immediate aim is to revitalize the theater industry, which he believes is not dying. He stated, "I want to revive the theatre business which is facing a lot of difficulty with each film’s release." He also mentioned that "theatres are very much alive; we just need to make good films and build more screens." He pointed out that India, which has the highest population in the world, has fewer screens than nations with lower populations.
