The secret to feeling better every day may be making these small adjustments to your diet.

Intelligent substitutions for bloating

"Don't let bloating and stomach discomfort prevent you from having a great summer!" "Knowledge is power!" Dr Joseph wrote in the caption, noting that these clever swaps can make it simpler to deal with BBQs and pool parties if you have IBS or have a problem with bloating.

In the video, he details how some well-known summer dishes and beverages might cause pain, particularly for people with sensitive stomachs. "Here are some gut-friendly swaps if you get bloated easily and have IBS and want to avoid flare-ups, especially at gatherings such as barbecues, picnics, and pool parties," he advises. Because of their high fructose content, fruits such as peaches, plums, and watermelon can cause bloating. If you are sensitive, try berries, grapes, or oranges instead.

Choose alternatives that are good for your gut instead of soda

Minor tweaks to beverages and marinades can have a significant effect. "Instead of processed marinades, try herb-based marinades or garlic-infused oil. Try mocktails such as berry-infused sparkling water with lime or cucumber mint water instead of beer, carbonated beverages, or sugary cocktails, advises Dr. Joseph.

He also offers a useful piece of advice for digestion in order to end your dinner on a more tranquil note: "Ditch the fried meals and opt for grilled chicken, fish, or lean meat, and then finish it off with a herbal tea like peppermint for easier digestion."
