Tensions have increased within the show as a result of Harsh Gujral's, a competitor on Prime Video's The Traitors India, rejection of co-contestant Uorfi Javed with the statement that "Uorfi jaisi ladki mujhe influence nahi kar sakti." (A girl like Uorfi cannot influence me.) During the palace's Circle of Shaq, the remark sent shockwaves through the group's confidence, triggering a cascade of unfavorable feelings.

The catty remark caused the atmosphere in the show's large Rajasthani setting, Suryagarh Palace, to suddenly change. Uorfi told Jasmin Bhasin, a rival competitor, about her choice to pull out of strategy sessions. "Yeh sunke laga jaise uss ladke ko meri koi respect hi nahi hai," she told Jasmin. (Hearing this made me feel like that boy has no respect for me.)

Jasmin, who has maintained a generally unbiased position, suggested that Harsh's remarks were more calculated than heartfelt. She cautioned Uorfi that he "may be using you for his own survival," indicating that relationships are forming and breaking up far more quickly than anyone had anticipated.

Instead than engaging in conflict, Uorfi Javed chooses to remain silent

Still visibly disturbed, she explained why Uorfi hasn't responded to Harsh by saying, "I also felt horrible about whatever he said." I'm not responding. Since then, I haven't even spoken to him. He thinks I'm insane! I haven't spoken to him since. I felt hurt because he was wrong.

The split makes both sides vulnerable as suspicion rises, especially as the Traitors and the Innocents are starting to question themselves with each encounter, which may be why she chooses to stay silent as a means of self-defense.

Shielded from the elements—but for how long?

One of the season's most valued shields is protecting Harsh for the time being. In the upcoming Round Table vote, perception often wins out over immunity, making that defense ineffective if the public reaction turns violent.

The show's premise is based on paranoia. It was created by BBC Studios India Productions in conjunction with All3Media International and is based on the BAFTA and Emmy-winning idea from IDTV. On June 12, 2025, twenty celebrities were aware that some of them had been selected in secret to be traitors, but they still participated in the game. The episodes will be broadcast every week at 8 p.m. IST until the series ends on July 3, 2025.

The entire program is set in the opulent Suryagarh Palace and is presented by Karan Johar. The remaining candidates are Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jasmin Bhasin, Uorfi Javed, and others, after Raj Kundra, Karan Kundra, Sahil Salathia, and Lakshmi Manchu were eliminated.
