Selena Gomez has revealed she had a huge crush on rapper Ice Cube during her childhood days. The 32-year-old singer made the confession during an appearance on the latest episode of Complex’s web series GOAT Talk on Wednesday.

According to People magazine, Gomez and singer Karol G talked about their "G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time)" rappers on the program.

As she "grew up listening to him," Gomez mentioned Eminem as one of her favorites in the entertainment business when discussing her preferences.

The makeup artist and producer said that her father was a DJ who used to remix different genres of music, and that she used to "get so excited" every time she heard one of Eminem's songs.

She then expressed her affection for Ice Cube on the program. Gomez stated that she had "the biggest crush on him" as a youngster.

The singer said, "Ice Cube," and confessed that she had a crush on him when she was five years old.

Gomez said that she used to believe that he would "protect" her, even if she thought it was "strange." She said that it was "merely" based on her upbringing.

Upon hearing Gomez's disclosure, Karol G couldn't help but begin praising it profusely.

The BICHOTA hitmaker, meanwhile, said that Nicki Minaj is her current "G.O.A.T." rapper, while Eminem was her favorite rapper when she was a kid.

She said that Eminem was the first rapper she was ever "super obsessed with." But she now regards Nicki Minaj as "one of the best."

It's important to note that Karol G and Nicki Minaj worked together on the song Tusa in 2019.

Gomez also mentioned one artist she is excited to work with in the future.

Gomez responded that she wants to collaborate with Ariana Grande when Karol G questioned her about the artist she most wants to work with.

"I don't know, she's... I adore her period," she said.
