It looks like the conflict between actor Unni Mukundan and Vipin Kumar, his former PR manager, is getting worse. According to a Manorama News story, Unni filed a complaint with the Kochi police, stating that despite Vipin's refusal to give in, he has been receiving death threats. Attempts have been made to intervene by the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).

Unni Mukundan files a police report

The report states that Unni informed the authorities that he had been threatened with death. He reported to the DGP that his life and profession are in danger. Two weeks ago, he claimed to have received a threatening phone call. Additionally, he reportedly claimed that he was instructed to be 'vigilant against Vipin' and that 'women may try to file false complaints' against him.

Vipin, however, maintained that Unni had verbally and physically attacked him and would not give in. Additionally, he alleged that the actor had a "bad history" and had "misbehaved with many people." The report also states that he said Unni was mistaken in thinking there was no footage of the assault and that the police are investigating CCTV footage. Vipin filed a complaint against Unni in both FEFKA and AMMA. Both film organizations are working to address the problem.

Vipin filed a police complaint against Unni on Monday night, claiming that the actor assaulted him in the parking lot of his Kochi apartment. He stated that they got into a fight over a message appreciating Tovino Thomas's most recent movie, Narivetta. Unni has since confessed to destroying Vipin's sunglasses but refuted any physical assault. Additionally, he said that the conflict between them was over rumors that Vipin was spreading, and that his connection with Tovino had not been damaged by this.
