Following the critically praised Saudi Vellakka, Tharun Moorthy masterfully produced an engaging show with Thudarum. The head of Operation Java is currently preoccupied with Torpedo, his upcoming endeavor, which features, among other actors, Premalu actor Nasl en and Fahadh Faasil. Binu Pappu, the author of the script for Torpedo, has now announced that the next Malayalam film will be a thriller and that the crew will likely begin production soon.

When will the shooting of Torpedo begin?

The highly awaited Malayalam picture has been revealed by Binu Pappu, who starred in all three of Tharun Moorthy's films.

Torpedo is a thriller movie, according to a recent interview with Silly Monks, and it is based on a real-life event.

"Pre-production has begun. Although it had begun earlier, we paused it in the middle for Thudarum. The sites are now being repaired. We intend to begin filming in four or five months. There are dates that need to be corrected, such as that of Naslen. Additionally, Fahadh must be liberated. Based on an event, I composed the narrative," he said.

Torpedo cast and crew

Apart from Naslen and Fahadh Faasil, Torpedo also features Arjun Das, and Ganapathi in key roles. Ashiq Usman is producing the film, which will have Jimshi Khalid as the cinematographer while Sushin Shyam has been roped in for composing the music.

Tharun Moorthy announced Torpedo even when his latest movie Thudarum, starring Mohanlal and Prakash Varma, was running in packed cinemas. The Malayalam thriller turned out to be a blockbuster and naturally, expectations are high for his next film. Adding to the excitement is that the film brings together Fahadh Faasil and the young star Naslen. Naslen had made a brief appearance in Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, starring Fahadh Faasil

Tharun Moorthy’s debut directorial film, Operation Java, starring Balu Varghese and Lukman Avaran, is available for streaming on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium. His next directorial Saudi Vellakka, which went on to win a National Award, is also streaming on OTTplay Premium and SonyLiv. Tharun’s latest film, Mohanlal-led Thudarum, recently made its OTT premiere on JioHotstar.
