Since July 2025, one actor has had film projects planned with budgets that are higher than the total budgets of all the Khans' films.

However, despite the fact that these two are still in the pre-production phase, Ranbir also has fresh original films in his pocket. The actor is now working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War. Reportedly, the movie costs ₹200 crore to produce and also features Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.

The combined budget of the two movies, according to producer Namit Malhotra, would be $500 million (4300 crore). Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Ranbir plays Lord Ram, and Yash, the Kannada superstar, plays Ravana in the movie. The two-part movie is expected to be the most costly Indian initiative in history.

How Ranbir pips the Khans, Prabhas, and even Rajinikanth

As of right now, the total landing cost of all the projects with Ranbir is over ₹5000 crore. As the performer accepts additional roles or production on either Brahmastra 2 or Animal Park starts, the figure may increase. However, this amount is now enormous. Shah Rukh is reportedly working on just one movie right now, King, which has a budget of ₹350 crores. The Galwan Valley of Salman Khan is likewise constructed on a similar scale. In an earlier interview with HT, the filmmaker said that he is planning one of the largest sequences ever filmed in Indian cinema for a conflict between the two performers. The scenario is reportedly being planned as a complete movie extravaganza, according to early rumors. "This will be unlike anything audiences have seen before, with two powerhouses, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, colliding on Bhansali's canvas," the source said. Later in the year, in Ramayana, Ranbir will once more face off against an A-lister when his Lord Ram squares off against Yash's Ravana. The two conflicts are equally about the characters as they are about how well their combined star power draws people to the theater.

Love and War is set to release on March 20, 2026. Ramayana Part One will arrive around Diwali. Ranbir's next big release will be Ramayana Part Two on Diwali 2027.
