Trisha Krishnan, an actor and animal enthusiast, gave a lifelike robotic elephant to two Tamil Nadu temples, Sri Ashtalinga Athisesha Selva Vinayagar and Sri Ashtabhuja Athisesha Varahi Amman. The elephant by the name of Gaja was introduced at the temples on Friday, and Trisha treated all the worshippers there to a delicious vegan feast.

Trisha Krishnan was 'thrilled' to give Gaja.

Trisha discussed her motivations for donating Gaja to the temples in a statement issued by People For Cattle In India (PFCI). I am overjoyed to be a part of this wonderful occasion," she said. When devotion is based on compassion, it shines the brightest. Welcoming a mechanical elephant into our temple rituals is a celebration of kindness, creativity, and culture.”

"We are also honoring our legacy in a manner that promotes harmony and does no harm," she said. This action serves as a joyous reminder of development, where faith and compassion go together. In the hopes that it will encourage others to embrace a future where love guides our ceremonies and no one endures in the name of tradition.

On X (formerly Twitter), the PFCI shared images and videos of Gaja and expressed its gratitude to Trisha for the contribution. "Thank you @trishtrashers for working with us," they wrote. In Tamil Nadu, the Sri Ashtalinga Athisesha Selva Vinayagar and Sri Ashtabhuja Athisesha Varahi Amman temples mark a new beginning for real elephants.

They also shared a photo of the supper Trisha had prepared for the followers, as well as a signboard with the statement, "Vegan food shows respect to animals by leaving them off our plates, just like our lifelike mechanical elephant promotes kindness to real elephants." Only delectable plant-based meals that are healthier for people, animals, and the environment are available; there are no meats, dairy, eggs, or other animal products.

Trisha starred in Vidaamuyarchi, Good Bad Ugly and Thug Life this year. She will soon star in Vishwambhara and Karuppu.
