Actor-model Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42. Following a cardiac arrest, she was brought dead to Mumbai's Bellevue Hospital, but her husband Parag Tyagi and three other people were unable to save her. The paparazzi saw Parag leaving the hospital.

Journalist Vickey Lalwani initially shared the news of her death on social media, saying, "Shefali Jariwala, the Kaanta Laga girl, is no more. I am unable to ascertain the cause of her death as of yet, but I can tell you that about 45 minutes before this article, she was transported deceased to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital (across from Star Bazaar Andheri). Shefali was taken to the hospital by her husband and three other individuals. According to the hospital reception staff, "Shefali had expired before she was brought in. Her husband and a few others accompanied the body." "For further details, please speak to Dr Vijay Lulla (cardiologist)," we said to the RMO who answered the phone.

Dr. Lulla declined to confirm or deny the information when contacted, simply stating, "I cannot reveal any information about any patient."

After that, we spoke with Dr Sushant from the same hospital, who verified the information and stated, "We are sending the body for post mortem to Cooper hospital."

Parag, Shefali's husband, has so far remained silent about his wife's passing and has not made any public statements.

Shefali, who had aspired to be a computer engineer, gained national recognition at the tender age of 20 when she appeared in the music video for Kaanta Laga. The well-known 1972 song from Dharmendra and Asha Parekh's Samadhi was remixed in this version. Shefali is still known as the Kaanta Laga girl, despite having appeared in films and numerous music albums since then. She also appeared on Salman Khan's reality series Bigg Boss in 2020.
