Following their interfaith marriage, actor Sonakshi Sinha has spoken candidly about the extreme harassment she and her husband, the actor Zaheer Iqbal, experienced, calling the remarks tasteless. But she stated that the couple relied on one another for companionship and mental stability.

People concentrated on their religion when Sonakshi described the severe trolling she had to endure after marrying Zaheer, a man of a different faith.

Sonakshi responded to the interviewer's statement that the remarks were in poor taste by saying, "Yes, they were in poor taste and are still in poor taste." Zaheer and I maintained our sanity amidst all the discussion about our interfaith marriage. No outside confirmation is necessary. We are aware of our possessions, and they are precious to us. We show it off, we adore it, we cherish it, we protect it, we celebrate it, we enjoy it.

"It was just us being us, getting married the way we wanted," Sonakshi said while discussing the wedding. "All the moments were really special to me." Because the shots were taken spontaneously, they were so exquisite. They were genuine, honest, and genuinely our own.

Concerning the pair

Sonakshi formalized her relationship with actor Zaheer Iqbal by marrying him last June. The couple's wedding took place on June 23, the same day that they first started dating, after a seven-year relationship. Later in the day, they hosted a party for their closest family and friends. "Seven years ago today (23.06.2017), we saw love in its purest form in each other's eyes and chose to hold on to it. "Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs, leading up to this moment, where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods, we are now man and wife," they wrote, posting the wedding photos.

Sonakshi's next endeavor

On the professional front, Sonakshi will make a comeback on the big screen in Nikita Roy, a supernatural drama helmed by her brother Kussh S Sinha. The movie, which was initially scheduled for release in theaters on June 27 but will now be released on July 18, has Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal as co-stars.

The last time she was seen was in Kakuda with Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. It debuted on ZEE5.
