Smriti Irani has had an amazing career, starting as a model, becoming one of the most popular television performers, and eventually becoming a Union Minister, from dominating television displays to making headlines in politics. In a recent Mojo Story interview with Karan Johar, Smriti discussed the factors behind her rise and described what she called her "Agneepath moment."
Smriti responded that a trip from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to Agneepath would be the most accurate depiction of her life when asked which song best reflects it. I'm probably taking vengeance for every child who never had the chance to compete fairly," she said, as she described the change. The original Agneepath was about a son attempting to carry out his mother's wishes.

She continued by sharing a very intimate tale about her mother: "The gore and glory was all about that the son thought that his mother has faced injustice, and I always felt that for my own mother." When I was seven years old, my mother was forced to leave the house because she was unable to give birth to a boy. Therefore, my Agneepath for me was to bring my mother home and provide her a place to live.
