For all those who have lived their lives hearing and seeing (in that order) the ‘OG’ quiz master Siddhartha Basu in the numerous shows that he had hosted, here is some good news for you. The news is that, the man is back with yet another ‘cracker of a show’ (as he would like to put it), which will be soon streamed on SonyLIV.

The name of the show is ‘Quizzer Of The Year’, a quiz show which happens to be a nation wide one. The shows which will be streamed on SonyLIV will be the ones which will be the final rounds, as the qualifying and other rounds are done by now. The show will be presented by none other than the man himself Siddhartha Basu aka ‘India’s Grand Quizmaster’. The said show has been Anita Kaul Basu and Tree of Knowledge Digital’s team.

Touted as the ‘Final battle of knowledge’, the promo reveals that, from a total of 70,000 students and six lakh plus quizzes and 2000 schools, there are the top 64 teams which have now qualified to compete for the zonal rounds of the said quiz show. The show will be streamed today (April 15 onwards) on Sony LIV.

The said show, where the students who have participated in the show range from ninth standard to twelfth standard, have been divided into three phases. While the first phase of the show (daily quizzes) has already been concluded, the second phase will see the 64 teams taking a step ahead to represent their respective zone. The teams, which will emerge as winners, will then, move ahead and participate in the National level of the quizzing championship.

As for the prizes, besides the title of ‘Quizzer Of The Year’, the winning team will be getting an educational scholarship of Rs. 1 crore! Well… that’s not all. The teams which will be ranked second too will win an educational scholarship of Rs. 50 lakhs. And the team which ranks third will stand to win an educational scholarship of Rs. 20 lakhs.
