The news of the first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious version of the Ramayana was all over town last week. Prime Focus Studios, owned by Namit Malhotra, is funding Ramayana, the largest Indian movie ever produced. Prior to the big release, the film generated a lot of excitement, as did the studio, which helped the company's financial performance improve on the stock market.

The increase in Prime Focus's stock price

Following the board's approval of the issuance of 462.7 million equity shares on a preferential issue, Prime Focus had a strong week on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). This resulted in a 30% increase in the company's stock price, from ₹113.47 to ₹149.69, between June 25 and July 1. However, the Namit Malhotra-led business received another significant boost from the initial glance at the Ramayana.

Prime Focus' shares reached a high of ₹176 on July 3, the day of the launch, as the excitement for the Ramayana first glimpse launch grew in the two days following July 1. As a result, the firm's market capitalization increased from Rs 4638 crore on July 1 to a high of Rs 5641 crore. As a result, the creators of Ramayana experienced a massive increase of ₹1000 crore in their assets in just two days. When the market finally ended, the share price had fallen to 169 rupees, and the company's market value had reached roughly 5200 crores of rupees.
