Radhika Apte is the most recent actress to advocate for more family time, following in the footsteps of Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. In an interview with IE, she acknowledged that the film industry is not particularly favorable to new moms like her and that she is unsure of how to handle her career at this point.

"I don't think they are," Radhika replied when asked if the film industry is favorable to new mothers like her. "I don't know how I'm going to navigate that going ahead." Recent reports indicate that Deepika rejected Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Prabhas-starer Spirit after failing to get a better compensation package and an 8-hour workday. This follows reports that Deepika recently turned down Spirit. After this, Kajol and Ajay Devgn publicly supported her, and Saif also pushed for prioritizing family time.

Radhika said that it was challenging to juggle her career and parenthood, saying, "It's really difficult to work in our film industry, given the number of hours and how we film generally, and the time for which we don't get to see the child." Therefore, I suppose I'll have to work it out on my own now. It has become even more challenging for the actress since she has been dividing her time between Mumbai and London for a while.

Recently, Radhika, who gave birth to a baby girl in December of the previous year, spoke with ANI about the emotional highs and lows she has gone through. “I was actually quite ready for the postpartum period,” she stated. Additionally, I had made sure that my friends and family knew that they should help me if I experienced postpartum depression. When I had a kid, I was totally happy, which was a surprise to me. Thankfully, I never experienced significant depression at any moment in my life. She is married to the musician Benedict Taylor.
