Nagashekar, a Kannada director, just released Sanju Weds Geetha 2, the spiritual sequel to his previous movie, Sanju Weds Geetha. However, just three days after its theatrical debut in January of this year, it had to be pulled due to numerous complaints about the screenplay's lackluster quality and inconsistencies in the plot, among other things. The filmmaking crew had clarified that the problem was caused by the fact that approximately 20 minutes of footage didn't make it to the theater-released print, which they would later attach and re-release the movie.

They recently brought the film to theaters after it took them almost six months to implement this strategy. However, it was always evident that there was no indication of heroine Rachita Ram, despite Nagashekar and leading man Srinagara Kitty leading the promotional activities. The team always responded by saying that her hectic schedule kept her from participating in every activity, but that she would join them for important occasions whenever they inquired about her absence.

The team claims that Rachita rejected every plea for film promotion.

However, this also did not occur, and the team has now officially filed a complaint against Rachita. After submitting the complaint to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Nagashekar told the media that numerous attempts had been made to contact Rachita, both directly and via her manager, but to no avail. Rockline Venkatesh, the head of the Karnataka Film Artists Association, was also persuaded by them to ask Rachita to participate in the promotions, but she allegedly ignored his advice as well.

With the actress refusing to promote the film, Nagashekar, joined by Srinagara Kitty, saw no other avenue, but to address it officially with the chamber, urging it to take action against her. The filmmaker, who said that he’s not aware if Rachita distanced herself from the team owing to issues during the making, also stated that if there was anything, she ought to address it.
