Nidhi Subbaiah on ‘Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana’: Why She Stays Unaffected by Film Outcomes
5 months ago | 5 Views
Nidhi Subbaiah, like everyone else in the Kannada film industry, has been paying close attention to the trend of declining attendance in the Kannada film industry. "However, to be honest, I believe this stage would be more frightening for newbies since they are only taking small steps and attempting to establish a reputation for themselves. With Pancharangi, I made my debut fourteen to fifteen years ago, when it was simpler to work on two or three films at once. The actress, who will next be seen in Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana, which will be released on June 13, claims that she is now in a better position because she has gained a place in people's hearts and believes that it is now simpler to maintain the reputation she has earned.

"From the start of my career, I have been very detached from the outcome of my films," Nidhi says, which may be why she isn't overly concerned about events in Sandalwood. The day before Pancharangi's premiere, the crew was filled with anxious excitement, while I was calm since I couldn't influence the outcome, whether it was good or terrible. What happens to a movie doesn't bother me, even if I've put all of my heart and soul into it, she explains.
Nidhi Subbaiah: I work as an actor; it's not my identity
The actress also believes that industry members should diversify into other surrounding film industries or into completely unrelated fields depending on their talents, rather than focusing solely on Sandalwood. "Web series are an option, but I think most of us have talents beyond acting. For example, I'm now working on a piece that could become a book or a script, and I'm speaking with a publisher. I also engage in sailing as a hobby. I work as an actor, but that's not who I am; there are other things I can do. If the industry dies, I won't," says Nidhi.
The star of The Krishnan Marriage Story says that, despite being picky and not automatically accepting every opportunity that comes her way, she has managed to survive and thrive in the business. "I'm still trying to maintain my exclusivity." In spite of having been about for 15 years, I haven't worked on as many movies as my peers have," she adds.
Has her attitude about the sorts of roles she wishes to perform shifted throughout the years? "Do I want to play the cheerful girl-next-door?" Absolutely not! I started off as that girl, but I'm no longer that. As an actress, I'm driven by a desire for variety and not concerned about being objectified; the people of Karnataka are aware of my acting abilities.
