YouTube hosts a two-part documentary series produced by the BBC World Service called The Killing Call, which focuses on the murder of well-known Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala. The documentary chronicles the singer's ascent and describes how he first contacted Lawrence Bishnoi. Later, though, a disagreement arose when Sidhu became friendly with Lawrence's competitors. Additionally, Goldy Brar provided fresh information in the documentary about this conflict, which eventually contributed significantly to the singer's murder in 2022.

What the documentary disclosed

In the second installment of the two-part documentary, investigative journalist Ishleen Kaur disclosed that Goldy Brar transmitted information regarding the conflict between Sidhu and Lawrence Bishoi through audio messages. He stated in one of the communications featured in the documentary, "Lawrence was in touch with Sidhu." They did speak, but I never inquired who introduced them. In an attempt to ingratiate Lawrence, Sidhu used to send "Good morning" and "Good night" texts. Then, around 2017-18, a friend of Sidhu's stated that Lawrence truly enjoyed his music.

Sidhu's homecoming to India brought about increasing tensions

But when Sidhu came back to India from Canada, everything was different. The Bambiha group, which was one of Bishnoi's competitors, became close to him. In a village that was a hotspot for the opposition, he had even played in a Kabaddi game. The tension between the two gangs escalated with the killing of Vicky Middukhera. It was thought that Sidhu helped in the murder with the help of members of his competing gang. Goldy and Lawrence were mentored by Vicky. According to the documentary, Sidh refused to acknowledge "any involvement" in the murder on camera, but his relationship with the rival gang ultimately resulted in his demise.

Sidhu Moosewala was murdered in Jawaharke village, Mansa, Punjab, on May 29, 2022, for those who are unfamiliar with the incident. Moosewala was discovered slumped in the driver's seat after the attackers reportedly fired more than 30 shots at him.
