Naseeruddin Shah Stands by His Post Supporting Diljit Dosanjh, Unfazed by Backlash

After publicly defending actor Diljit Dosanjh the day before, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has reacted. His Facebook page no longer showed his article in favor of the singer-actor's choice to collaborate with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. According to Naseeruddin, he doesn't "care" about any criticism of what he said.

What Naseeruddin stated

"I have NOT deleted my post about Diljit Dosanjh. I don't care a fiddler's fart for backlash," Naseeruddin wrote in his most recent blog.

His earlier remark

Naseeruddin had previously penned a letter supporting Diljit, which stated, "I STAND FIRMLY WITH DILJIT. The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him." They believe they've finally found the solution. The film's casting was the responsibility of the director, not him.

“But Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned, but nobody knows who he is,” he continued. These thugs want to eradicate all interpersonal contact between the citizens of India and Pakistan. No one can prevent me from seeing my close relatives and a few close pals there, or from expressing my affection for them whenever I choose. In answer to those who would advise "Go to Pakistan," I would say, "Go to Kailasa." On his Facebook page, the item is still not visible.

On the other hand, the day after, he shared a quote from Georg Christoph Lichtenberg. "It is nearly impossible to carry the torch of truth through a crowd without singeing someone's beard," stated Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, a scientist and philosopher.

In retaliation for Naseeruddin's backing of Diljit, director Ashoke Pandit had denounced the declaration and answered to news agency ANI. Naseeruddin Shah's reaction to the whole Diljit Dosanjh incident doesn't surprise or shock us, he added. He refers to us as the Jumla party, and he refers to us as goons. Naseeruddin Shah, a senior figure in the field who is well-educated and adaptable, refers to us as "goons," demonstrating his irritation and sense of restlessness.

Diljit has come under fire for his most recent movie, Sardaar Ji 3, in recent days, including criticism from Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. The movie premiered in other countries on June 27. It was not made available in India.

The uproar follows the recent terrorist attack on Pahalgam on April 22 and India's Operation Sindoor on May 7, which included airstrikes against terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
