The Telugu film business awoke to the terrible news that Kota Srinivasa Rao, a seasoned actor, had passed away at the age of 83. The renowned actor had been experiencing age-related ailments for the previous three years, and on July 18, 2025, he died at his home in Hyderabad. Kota's demise has taken many by surprise, and well-known figures like Brahmanandam and Chiranjeevi have given the performer lavish tributes. The town had been in over 750 movies and had given up acting in recent years. But he made an exception for the celebrity Pawan Kalyan and starred in his forthcoming film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

In one of his final interviews, which was conducted on a YouTube channel, Kota said that he filmed for the historical drama for two days and was ecstatic to be in the same scene as Pawan Kalyan, the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Kota further stated that, even though they were aware of his condition, the producers still contacted him for a unique part. Kota agreed and filmed the movie alongside the celebrity hero, just like he did for Pawan Kalyan. Kota will be seen one last time in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is scheduled for release on July 31, 2025, after having amused Telugu viewers for many years.

The movie, which will be divided into two sections, was directed by Jothi Krishna, and it's still up in the air where Kota will make his last appearance. This picture, which stars Nidhi Agerwal in the main role, was composed by MM Keeravani.

After visiting Kota for the last time during his final rites, his close associates and fellow celebrity comedians Brahmanandam and Babu Mohan were overcome with emotion when speaking to the media, and the entire Telugu film industry is lamenting his passing.
