The hot topic on social media in recent days has been about Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep, but it's not about his latest movie, Billa Ranga Baashaa. The discussion online revolved around Sudeep's potential return as host of Bigg Boss Kannada, a role he had quit after 11 years of doing. He also received an emotional send-off. There are numerous posts on social media saying that Sudeep will indeed return, but that he has provided the showrunners a list of requirements they must meet in order for his "comeback" to take place.

The requirements for Sudeep's return as the BBK12 host

According to reports, one of the main issues Sudeep tackled was the selection of contestants. In recent years, the showrunners have selected contestants who were contentious or who had viral social media material and followings for unfavorable reasons. At the press conferences marking the launch of Bigg Boss Kannada, Sudeep was frequently questioned about the declining 'quality' of the contestants. As the show's host, he had always stood up for the producers and maintained that there was no reason to be critical of the contestants.

However, Sudeep's insistence on a better selection procedure stems from the fact that increasingly disruptive conduct was also getting on his nerves. Additionally, the actor is reported to have informed the channel heads that the activities in the Bigg Boss house cannot be planned to spark disputes and confrontations. He has urged them to consider providing entertainment for viewers rather than just sensationalism. He has also advised them to be aware of his shooting timetables when planning his weekend episode shoots, given that Bigg Boss Kannada 12 is likely to premiere in September or October.

A few days prior to his birthday last year, Sudeep had spoken to the press and discussed in depth the challenges he faced while commuting between the Max set and the Bigg Boss home. He had stated that this was both physically and emotionally exhausting, and that he had the impression that his attempts to make himself available were not adequately valued.

Sudeep is said to have approved at least two more films while currently working on Billa Ranga Baashaa. Fans have been imploring him to distance himself from Bigg Boss Kannada for a long time, arguing that the program is no longer what it was during Parameshwar Gundkal's tenure. Since Sudeep was not seen on screen again for over two years following Vikrant Rona, they encouraged him to pursue acting in films. In reality, Sudeep stated during the Max promotions that he was abandoning his one-film-at-a-time approach in order to allow for at least two films to be made at once.
