Kelly Osbourne is engaged - and the moment couldn’t have been more personal or rock ‘n’ roll. Slipknot’s Sid Wilson proposed to her on Saturday, July 5, during her father Ozzy Osbourne’s final show with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in England. A video posted on Instagram captured the moment. Wilson turned to Kelly and said, “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world.” Right then, Ozzy, 76, jumped in with a classic dad moment: “F--- off, you’re not marrying my daughter.”

Wilson, unfazed, carried on. “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?” Kelly nodded yes, stunned, before wrapping him in a long hug. Friends and family, including Sharon and Jack Osbourne, cheered as the two embraced.

A bond that’s lasted decades

Sid and Kelly have been friends for a while. They first connected in 1999, when Slipknot was on the Ozzfest tour, which was created by Kelly's parents. They started seeing each other in January 2022, after their friendship had developed over the years.

Kelly paid tribute to their long-standing relationship that Valentine's Day by saying this: "I can't believe where we've ended up after 23 years of friendship! Sidney George Wilson, I love you so much; you are my best friend and soulmate.

Wilson added his own statement to the occasion, as reported by People magazine: "I don't have enough colors to express the range of love I have for you in my heart. XoXo, Happy Valentine's Day, My Love.

Parenthood and a Personal Journey

The couple revealed that they were expecting their first kid in May 2022. Kelly wrote, "I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma..." while posting a picture of herself holding an ultrasound picture. I'm thrilled!

Later that year, they gave birth to a son named Sidney. Sharon revealed the information during an interview on The Talk in early 2023, even though Kelly had wanted to keep his birth a secret for a bit. "I am not ready to share him with the world," Kelly told People, but she eventually verified it on Instagram Stories.

Since then, she's given insights into motherhood on the Osbournes podcast in 2023. "He is the best thing that has ever happened to me," she stated. She continued, "Being a mother is my life, and I simply adore it."
