Just over an hour before she was scheduled to perform, singer Kelly Clarkson postponed the highly anticipated debut of her Las Vegas residency on Friday. In a statement she shared on Instagram, the singer said she had lost her voice as a result of the stress of preparation and rehearsals.

Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions - The Las Vegas Residency was scheduled to begin on July 4 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Through November 15, there were 18 events planned overall. But just minutes before Kelly was set to start her debut performance on July 4, she put it off.

"We have been working around the clock to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans," she stated in an Instagram post 90 minutes before the show's scheduled start time. "I'm heartbroken to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars, but I'm eternally grateful that you're always there for me."

‘Rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice’

The postponement was explained in Kelly's letter. "My voice has suffered from the preparation and rehearsals. The 43-year-old singer stated that he is spending this weekend and the following week resting up in order to ensure that the shows are flawless for you and to safeguard himself against inflicting any significant harm.

The audience was reassured by Kelly Clarkson that she would return, and she also highlighted the high caliber of the program that was planned for them. "The performance is really fantastic. I want to make a strong start because the performers and singers are exceptional. I'm excited to return next weekend and show you all what we've been up to," she said in her letter.

No information regarding refunds

Up to now, there has been no news on whether the concert that was canceled on July 4 will be replaced by any other performances. Additionally, the organizers have not released details regarding any ticket holder refunds.
