Recently, Kajol gave her perspective on the changes in the Bollywood industry and the influx of new talent. The 50-year-old actress praised the manner in which younger actors are forging their own careers when asked about the current comparisons between performers from her generation and today's Gen-Z stars.

When asked by India Today if any young star reminds her of her early days in the 1990s, the actor from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge responded, "I'm very happy to say that there is none. It doesn't sound arrogant or anything. However, every one of the actors we have has created their own universe in a very clear manner. They are not, and should not be, following anyone's footsteps. The world has changed since then, Kajol stated.

Kajol then emphasized the significant differences between the movie industry at that time and now. In her opinion, contemporary actors are much more conscious of themselves and driven by their own decisions.

When asked to name a standout performer from the new generation, Kajol praised a number of up-and-coming actors, but she especially singled out Alia Bhatt for recognition. "Alia, I think she has shown herself quite a bit. So, I mean, yeah... Then there's the usual lineup of Ananya, Janhvi, and Sara, Kajol added.

Alia's professional accomplishments

With Student of the Year (2012), Alia Bhatt made her acting debut, but it was her breakout performance in Highway (2014) that cemented her reputation as a talented actor. She has established a reputation throughout the years for selecting a variety of demanding parts in films such as Udta Punjab (2016), Raazi (2018), Gully Boy (2019), Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), and Darlings (2022).

Among her many honors are six Filmfare Awards, including the prestigious Best Actress award for Udta Punjab, Raazi, Gully Boy, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. She also won the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2024 for her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. With Heart of Stone, she made her Hollywood debut in 2023.
