With only 30 days left, excitement for Coolie is reaching a new peak. Hamsini Entertainment released a fiery promo, revealing the star-studded cast. The post says, “Legendary stars coming together for an unforgettable experience.” It features the ensemble and raises the hype for this Tamil action thriller. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring Rajinikanth, the film is scheduled for release on August 14, 2025. The release date is timed for the Independence Day holiday weekend, boosting its reach.

The cast includes Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan. Bollywood star Aamir Khan also joins in a key role. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran and backed by Sun Pictures. This is Rajinikanth’s 171st film and another big step for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s expanding cinematic universe. Music by Anirudh Ravichander is sure to excite fans of Tamil action movies.

Hamsini Entertainment is handling overseas distribution and promoting the release as a global event. The film will be available in multiple formats, including IMAX, D-Box, 4DX, and standard screens. It was mostly shot in Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, and Bangkok. The reported budget is around ₹375 crore, making it one of India’s most expensive films ever.

The release on August 14 will face direct competition from War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. Although the battle will be tough, pre-release buzz for Coolie is huge. It owes that to its star cast, high production standards, and the long-awaited reunion of Lokesh and Rajinikanth.
