Fans of Marvel have now seen what is in store. The Fantastic Four: First Steps has a new promotional video that gives us our first glimpse at Giganto, the monstrous antagonist straight out of the first Fantastic Four comic.

The television commercial, which was produced in partnership with Little Caesars, shows Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm fighting a giant monster that was taken straight from Fantastic Four #1, published in 1961.

Giganto, Mole Man's powerful beast, appears with a design that closely resembles the original comic book illustrations by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The original monster from Marvel is adapted.

Giganto is shown causing mayhem in the advertisement while the four superheroes try to stop him. Matt Shakman, the director, has accurately replicated the appearance and atmosphere. The similarity to that famous comic book cover, in which a gigantic monster bursts through the ground just as the squad enters, is intentional.

Given that the creature's green, reptilian appearance resembles the one that Mole Man commanded in the comics, there is conjecture that Paul Walter Hauser is playing the subterranean antagonist.

Cast of Fantastic Four

The reboot stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The team not only has to save Earth but also protect the bond that makes them a family.

Rounding out the cast are John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.

The Marvel film is produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Shakman, with executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis behind the scenes.
