4 months ago | 5 Views
Farah Khan, a filmmaker and choreographer renowned for her acerbic wit, recently brought the house down with a humorous jab at Jackky Bhagnani, an actor and producer, for his opulent mansion and the hidden expenditures associated with producing movies.
The lighthearted exchange between Jackky Bhagnani and Farah Khan
In her most recent cooking vlog, Farah jokingly complimented Jackky's opulent house and told her cook Dilip, "Humko bhi producer banna hai! (I also want to become a producer)." In response to her remark, Jackky immediately retorted, "Producer nahi ban na, real estate (Don't become a producer, do real estate)."
Farah replied with her trademark wit, never missing a beat. We don't want to be producers, we want to work in real estate, because after becoming producers, their 10 floors have decreased to only 5! Farah responded, "Sorry, yes, we don't have to become a producer but try real estate, because earlier they had 10 floors but after becoming a producer, they only have 5)."

Everyone in attendance, including Jackky, his actress wife Rakul Preet Singh, and Dilip, Farah's chef, laughed at her remarks.
Jackky later in the vlog talked about the failure of his most recent film, 2024's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, as well as the challenges and tenacity of his father-producer, Vashu Bhagnani.
Jackky claimed that his father has seen numerous failures, such as the 2002 film Om Jai Jagadish, which featured Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, and Fardeen Khan in prominent roles, and that he used to sell sarees on the street. But since the show must go on for him, he has witnessed his father begin from scratch numerous times.
The Aftermath of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan
To pay off a growing debt of ₹250 crore, the seven-story Mumbai office of Vashu Bhagnani's production business was sold. The shift occurred after the box office disappointment of the expensive action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which had a production budget of ₹350 crore. Although the film featured well-known performers like Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, it failed to attract viewers and only earned ₹111.5 crores worldwide, which was much below expectations.
