In The First Night with the Duke, a college student is transported into a romance book and becomes Cha Seon-chaek, a minor character. After spending a night with the male lead, Duke Yi Beon, their encounter causes a major shift in the plot as the Duke becomes resolute in his desire to wed her. The narrative examines the topics of destiny, free will, and her desire to either reject the book or accept her new life with the Duke.

The play combines historical fiction, fantasy, and romance, adding contemporary humor and changes to the plot. It also includes powerful female characters who question accepted social standards and gender stereotypes.

Seohyun, Ok Taecyeon, Kwon Han-sol, Seo Bum-june, Ji Hye-won, and others star in the film. New episodes, directed by Lee Woong Hee, will air at 6:20 PM IST every Wednesday and Thursday.
