Tharun Moorthy's Thudarum, which had its theatrical debut on April 25 and received a positive reception, is now scheduled to premiere on JioHotstar on May 30, 2025. The one standout characteristic of Mohanlal, according to Tharun Moorthy, is "The professionalism he has shown throughout the film."

Tharun went on to say that the actor was still completely invested in the film, even after the filming lasted 10–12 days longer than anticipated. "His approach to the film and his position in relation to it. He is completely professional. The most important thing is the movie itself, Tharun said.

Mohanlal has served as a textbook case for him on "how a superstar should be or how a super actor should approach a movie," he said.
