The participation of Canadian rapper Drake in the choir, however, was unexpected. But Drake has a legitimate cause—or rather, over a million reasons—to support RCB this evening.

Drake's entire wager is that RCB will win IPL 2025

In a screenshot posted to Instagram on Tuesday, Drake revealed that he had wagered $750,000 on Stake that RCB would win the IPL 2025. The receipt indicated that Drake would win $1.312 million if Virat Kohli's team actually defeats PBKS tonight, with odds of 1.75. It might be for this reason that the upbeat Drake wrote "Ee sala cup namde" in his caption. The rapper's decision to wager on cricket, a game that is not well-known in North America, perplexed his followers there. One of them interjected, "Oh, so we're betting on cricket now?" "Wthelly is this? Cricket? 750k? Fk it let me tail this," said another.

The IPL heartbreaks experienced by RCB and PBKS

For the first time in three years, the IPL will crown a new champion this year. Despite being members of the league since its start in 2008, neither PBKS nor RCB has ever taken home the IPL title. With a massive 973-run season, which saw Virat Kohli shatter batting records, RCB last appeared in the IPL final nine years ago. This year, the batsman has once again been on fire, hitting more than 600 runs. However, they will encounter a rejuvenated PBKS in their way, captained by the in-form Shreyas Iyer.

The IPL final is a popular event for celebrities.
