There have been rumors that Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal, and Munmun Dutta, who portrays Babita, are also considering quitting the show. The program's producer, Asit Modi, has now spoken out on the issue in an interview with Moneycontrol.

Asit termed it "false information" and said, "As you know, social media these days has become so negative that you should try to maintain a positive outlook." Furthermore, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a 100% upbeat program. It's a cheerful show for the whole family. Therefore, there are folks who should have a good outlook on it. It is wrong to disseminate rumors about minor matters or use offensive language. Not a good thing.

Asit reiterated that Dilip and Munmun were not leaving the program by saying, "Lekin kuch nahi hai, sab log hamari team ka part hai." They didn't have time for us due to a few of their own personal reasons. However, everyone is part of our team, so it is not like that. Due to certain personal circumstances, they were not there at that moment. Therefore, there is no such problem.

When viewers observed Dilip and Munmun's extended absence from the current 'Bhootni' plot, rumors started circulating regarding their departure from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The majority of the Gokuldham Society members are seen vacationing in an ostensibly haunted bungalow in the current storyline. This eerie trip has included characters such as Bapuji, Popatlal, Sodhi, Taarak Mehta, and Anjali. Jethalal and Babita, though, have been conspicuously absent. Speculation that the performers could be intending to quit the long-running comedy series was fueled by their absence.
