The impact of Raanjhanaa

Raanjhanaa got a lot of controversial opinions when it was first released twelve years ago. The movie was either adored or despised. People who could relate to Kundan's (Dhanush) experience of being hopelessly friendzoned by Sonam Kapoor's Zoya gave it a lot of affection. The reviewers, who saw it as a toxic film about stalking and obsessive one-sided love, were among those who despised it. Regardless, both perspectives remain valid today.

Regarding Ranjhanaa and the possibility of a follow-up

The creators never formally confirmed Raanjhanaa 2, despite its frequent mention. In reality, director Aanand L. Rai had disclosed that the film's conclusion precluded the possibility of a sequel.
