In her caption, she said, "I grew up playing badminton, so I've seen firsthand how much this sport may affect a person's life—physically, mentally, and emotionally." The goal of Padukone School of Badminton (PSB) is to promote the enjoyment and discipline of Badminton to individuals from all walks of life, as well as to develop a generation that is healthier, more focused, and motivated by sports.

More about the new venture

Further information in her letter shows that the PSB opened 75 community coaching facilities during its first year of operation in 18 Indian cities, including Bengaluru, NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Pune, Nashik, Mysuru, Panipat, Dehradun, Udaipur, Coimbatore, Sangli, and Surat. It intends to grow to 100 locations by the end of this year and 250 over the following three years.

"Sport is an integral part of growing up – it instills discipline, resilience, and a winning mindset that extends well beyond the court," said Prakash Padukone, who serves as PSB's mentor and advisor. Our objective with PSB is to establish a solid basis for the future of Indian badminton by making high-quality coaching available and inexpensive, as well as by fostering grassroots talent.

To establish local training hubs that complement its primary Training Program at its three high-performance centers in Bangalore, PSB partners with schools, institutions, and existing facilities. A uniform certification course has trained over 100 coaches. The PSB method prioritizes consistent coaching, quality assurance, and identifying and nurturing talented players, all while utilizing excellent resources.

Before becoming an actress, Deepika Padukone played badminton at the national level. During her school years, she participated in the sport at a high level. Deepika competed in national competitions and represented Karnataka at the state level.

Nevertheless, she ultimately decided to work in the acting and modeling industries. She is currently one of the highest paid actors in India. She shares a daughter named Dua with her husband, actor Ranveer Singh.
