In an unexpected revelation, Danny DeVito spoke about his previous co-star Michelle Pfeiffer. While working with the Scarface actor in Batman Returns, the 80-year-old told Collin Farrell in an interview that appeared in Variety's Actors on Actors series on Monday that he "lusted after" her.

While shooting Batman Returns, Danny DeVito confessed to having "lusted after" Michelle Pfeiffer.

When comparing the actors who played Catwoman alongside him and Farrell in their respective Batman movies, DeVito remarked of Pfeiffer, "She was a goddess." The famous villain Penguin, also known as Oswald Cobblepot, was portrayed by both seasoned actors, DeVito, in Tim Burton's 1992 movie, and Farrell, in Matt Reeves' The Batman.

Zoë Kravitz, who portrayed Catwoman in the 2022 film, and Farrell collaborated on a "couple of scenes." “She was great,” he said. In the meantime, DeVito raved about Pfeiffer, saying, "I got all flushed if I knew she was going to be in a scene that day."

The Man on the Moon actor quipped that he would apply more cosmetics, saying, "Give me another pound of makeup." It was quite challenging. “Just so wonderful. And I lusted after her,” DeVito replied when Farrell inquired about his experience collaborating with Pfeiffer.

"We're moving on from your lust. "Tell me, what was the behavioral manifestation of the lust?" Farrell quipped, and the Dumbo actor responded, "It was Oswald [his character] that was lustful."

After the Thirteen Lives performer questioned whether Pfeiffer was "nervous" to work with him and whether she contacted security, DeVito responded, "I kind of feel like she liked it." Oswald was someone she liked. The couple discussed method acting elsewhere in the conversation.

"Did you bring it home with you at all?" Does it not come home at all if the character you're portraying is experiencing really intense ideas, feelings, and actions? Farrell questioned. "No, I go home to Rhea [Perlman] and the kids," DeVito replied, saying, "I played some really horrible characters; you have to get rid of that."
