A post from SCREEN on Instagram featured Amaal discussing the breakup of his connection with his ex-girlfriend in 2019.

During Kabir Singh, the post's caption described how Amaal discussed his breakup, family issues, and professional treachery. In response to the article, Daboo penned, "Son… Remember Your Father is always there… I know your pain and I love you to eternity… there can be none like you… (red heart emojis)."

What Amaal said recently

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Amaal revealed that he had a hard time of his life while working on Kabir Singh. "I was with something, but it didn't go any farther than that. About three or four months later, the girl I was seeing got married. Between 2014 and 2018–2019, I had a lovely connection with someone. I have never felt that kind of love again since then.

"The relationship was so genuine and lovely. Because of the numerous understanding, religious, and rigid variables on the girl's side and her parents, we both realized that it might never come to anything. Furthermore, someone in Bollywood, a musician, didn't want that for their child. She phoned me before one of my gigs and told me, "I'm just going to get married, but you come through now I'll not get married." Nevertheless, he declined, stating that her parents do not respect and encourage his career and family.

Concerning Amaal's connection with his family

Amaal went to social media in March to discuss his struggle with clinical depression as well as the psychological impact of his difficult relationship with his family. “I have been robbed of my peace, emotionally drained, and perhaps even financially — but that's the least of my worries,” Amaal wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. The fact that these events have caused me to be clinically depressed is what matters.

He emphasized that his choice to distance himself from his family was not motivated by rage but was essential for his own recovery. He continued, "From now on, my interactions with my family will be strictly professional," as he stated a desire to regain his peace and mental well-being.

The oldest son of Daboo and Jyothi Malik is Amaal. Armaan Malik is his younger sibling. In 2014, Amaal's debut as a composer included writing three tunes for Salman Khan's Jai Ho. He became well-known for writing the music for MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
