Despite the hatred and negativity that has surrounded the Northeastern states since the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya, actor Chum Darang has remained a staunch supporter of the region. She believes it's unfair to generalize and hold an entire state accountable for a crime.

Chum Darang speaks up

The murder of Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya caused tourism in the state to be disrupted, and several travel agencies reported cancellations. Chum, well-known for his role in Bigg Boss 18, has now responded to the controversy and defended the Northeast area of India.

"This Raja Raghuvanshi case had me shook beyond words," Chum stated in her Instagram story. After the word of Raja being discovered, I'm sure that everyone was concerned for the 'wife'. However, I never imagined she would be responsible for any of this. Breaks my heart.

"Also, I noticed that a lot of individuals were blaming the locals, the state, and the region, to find out what? I am not saying NE states mein crime hota nehi hai, but sidha logon pe ungli uthana acchi baat nehi hai (I am not saying the northeast states are crime free, but it is wrong to point fingers at the people)," she continued. My sincere sympathy.
