Amar Singh Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali, is a biographical film, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra as Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot, respectively. The film portrays the real-life story of Chamkila and how he rose to fame in the 1980s but was killed for the kind of lyrics he chose to sing. He was just 27 years old when he was assassinated.
