Akshay Kumar, a Bollywood superstar, is referred to as the Khiladi of Bollywood because he performs his own stunts. Akshay has continually pushed the envelope in action films, from performing daring rooftop leaps in the Khiladi series to executing intense underwater and aerial stunts in movies like Blue and Holiday. The actor discussed the inspiration for his daring action scenes in a recent Pinkvilla interview.

Tom & Jerry serves as an inspiration for Akshay Kumar's fight scenes

Akshay discussed the motivation behind his stunt sequences and stated, "Do you know where I draw all this inspiration from? All the stunts I've done?" You won't believe it, from Tom and Jerry. I think Tom and Jerry is the most violent program ever; I love watching it. Although it seems to be intended for children, it is really violent. If you watch it for real, you'll see that it's really brutal. Each episode is 10 to 12 minutes long and full of activity. I've learned so much from it.

“I remember Tom coming down from a helicopter, hanging and picking up Jerry,” he continued. “I did that in Sabse Bada Khiladi.” I then duplicated Tom hanging from a plane in Khiladi 420. In Khatron Ke Khiladi, I did the same thing where Tom placed a hammock beneath a helicopter, and he and Jerry sat down for a glass of wine. Tom and Jerry give you a lot of possible movement suggestions. I've never seen a better action movie. Although individuals think it funny when they watch it, it isn't. In one scene, Tom uses a bat to shatter the entire house. It's extremely violent. Please understand that you are exposing your children to a violent program.
