According to reports, Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par ran into a roadblock when the filmmakers were proposed two changes but opposed to making them. According to sources, the producers were scheduled to meet the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on Monday for clarification on the issue. CBFC has now officially approved Sitaare Zameen Par. Soon, advance bookings for the movie will also be available.

CBFC approves Sitaare Zameen Par

It is unknown if Aamir Khan's eagerly anticipated Sitaare Zamein Par made the modifications, but the CBFC has now approved the film. The film will be released solely in theaters on June 20.

Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, will soon be available for advance reservation. According to trade analysts, the film should earn at least Rs. 10 crore through advance bookings. The figures might increase as well because the movie is just a theatrical release.

What caused Sitaare Zameen Par to be delayed by the CBFC?

Sitaare Zameen Par had a little trouble with the CBFC when the film body recommended two changes that Aamir disagreed with. The actor-director believes that some edits are impossible because they would negatively impact the movie. Therefore, Aamir allegedly upheld his promise. However, it is still unclear whether the changes were made prior to Sitaare Zameen Par receiving approval from the censor board.

Besides Aamir Khan, Sitaare Zameen Par represents Genelia D'Souza Deshmukh's return to Bollywood. The movie is the Hindi version of the Hollywood film Champions, which was first adapted from the Spanish film Campeones. Darsheel Safary, who starred in Taare Zameen Par, will also make a comeback to the cinema thanks to Sitaare Zameen Par. Interestingly, Aamir has insisted that Sitaare Zameen Par is the only sequel to Taare Zameen Par. As planned, the movie will be released in theaters on June 20.
