High ticket prices for films in Indian multiplexes are inconvenient for moviegoers, according to actor Aamir Khan. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Aamir contrasted the present with earlier times when "the masses could actually afford to watch the movie." Aamir responded to the question of a solution by stating that "low-cost cinemas coming out in districts that don't have a single theatre will make a big difference to the movie business."

High ticket costs at multiplexes, as seen by Aamir Khan

"The rent of theaters is so high, and the infrastructure that is built in multiplexes, obviously, the ticket price goes up again," Aamir stated. He reminisced about prior times, when one could see a movie without spending a lot of money. "This medium was once referred to as a mass medium for a purpose." The masses were able to see the film, which is why. In my opinion, it is really hard for the general public to see a movie in theaters these days unless you visit single screens.

Aamir discusses a remedy for this

According to Aamir, the remedy for the film industry is to establish "low-cost cinemas." "I miss that you know; when we see there are 90,000 screens in China and 35,000 screens in the USA. Because India is such a large nation and our population is so large. Why are we unable to reach all locations? The movie industry will benefit greatly from low-cost cinemas opening in neighborhoods that lack theaters.
