Get up early in the morning, take a bath, and dress in fresh, new clothing in order to witness the celebration. To do abhishek with water, milk, curd, ghee, honey, and Gangajal, place the Shivlinga in the temple in your home or go to a Shiva temple close to your house. White flowers, aak-dhatura, and bel leaves are also presented to Lord Shiva. While carrying out ceremonies, followers should also chant "Om Namah Shivaya."
