In Mumbai, the producers of the legendary Hindi film Umrao Jaan held a star-studded special screening in advance of its re-release. Celebrities such as Anil Kapoor, AR Rahman, Asha Bhonsle, Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and many more attended.

Many images and videos of the event, which displayed the dazzling outfits worn by the stars, were posted online. We were drawn to the gorgeous anarkali ensembles worn by Bollywood actresses. Here are some of our favorites:

Rekha

The veteran actor chose a regal outfit for the exclusive screening of her film, which made use of the colors ivory and gold. Rekha opted for a deconstructed anarkali style for the occasion, which included a sheer white kurta with gota patti embroidery, mirror accents, side slits, and full-length sleeves. It was worn on top of a sheer gold organza lehenga skirt with patti borders. She completed her ensemble with gold churidar pants, a mang tika, a choker necklace, jhumkis, bracelets, a potli bag, and a hairstyle adorned with gajra.

Janhvi Kapoor 

The special screening of Umrao Jaan was attended by Janhvi Kapoor, who was wearing an ivory and beige anarkali outfit. The ensemble includes patti borders, mirror work, exquisite chikanakri embroidery, a kurta with a low sweetheart neckline, long sleeves, and a flaring anarkali skirt. She finished it off with a heavily embroidered, pleated dupatta that was draped over her arm and on her shoulders, as well as churidar pants. Her ensemble was completed by elegant jhumkis, simple makeup, flowing hair, and ornate jutti sandals.

Nushrratt Bharuccha

In her beige floral embroidered anarkali outfit, Nushrratt Bharuccha looked stunning as she arrived to the Umrao Jaan screening. Red and gold flowers are embroidered on the traditional, anarkali-style dress, which has a floor-length hemline, full-length sleeves, a flowing skirt, and a fitted bodice. She completed the ensemble with delicate jewelry, a simple rose-decorated ponytail, and little glitz.

Fatima Sana Shaikh

Fatima Sana Shaikh attended the special screening in a traditional anarkali suit set. She wore an organza ensemble adorned with delicate floral appliqué work. She completed the styling with a sleek hairdo, jhumkis, a no-makeup dewy look, and glossy pink lips.
