India is stealing the show this season, while Louis Vuitton's Men's Spring/Summer 2026 line is creating waves in the fashion business. The runway, which included patterns strongly influenced by traditional artistry, was honored as a sincere homage to Indian culture. After Prada's well-known Kolhapuri sandals, Louis Vuitton is now making headlines with a one-of-a-kind purse in the shape of an autorickshaw.

The new Louis Vuitton bag is modeled after the Indian auto-rickshaw

Diet Paratha, a well-known unknown fashion influencer, shared the handbag photos on Instagram, using the captions, "Did this bag just colonize me? Jokingggggg… NRIs are gonna go crazy for this one tho." "I really wish they had showcased this on the runway last night. I spotted it on top of a shelf during the re-see this morning," he said.

The recognizable three-wheeler that speeds through India's busy roadways has been redesigned in sumptuous buttery leather and is fully covered in Louis Vuitton's recognizable Monogram canvas. With its tiny wheels and handlebars, this sculptural artwork blurs the distinction between street culture and high fashion.

The unusual shape isn't new to LV, which has previously released bags in the forms of airplanes, dolphins, and even lobsters. But the autorickshaw bag's humorous allusion to Indian street culture sets it apart. Although it is anticipated to command a premium price that may raise eyebrows, the worth of this item resides as much in its idea as in its execution.

The internet's response

The images of the handbags soon became popular, generating thousands of likes, comments, and some genuinely amusing responses online. One user commented, "Middle-class struggle is high-class couture," while another said, "I swear if I see a South Delhi aunty stepping out of her Audi carrying this, I will become violent."

"NEED! But I'll wait for it to be released in Chandni Chowk," one user joked, while another asked, "Is an auto more expensive than this bag?" Someone else hilariously said, "So are they going to price it by the meter?" and another mischievously questioned, "Can someone put a hamster in it?"
