On her and Jeff Bezos' wedding day, Lauren Sanchez, 55, was gorgeous in her bespoke Dolce and Gabbana dress. She told Vogue in an interview on June 27 that her white wedding gown made her feel like a princess and that she was inspired by the timeless elegance of veteran actress Sophia Loren.

In Venice, Italy, on June 27, the former reporter and Amazon founder tied the knot in front of a star-studded audience that included Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Ivanka Trump, Usher, and Orlando Bloom. There were around 200 people in attendance at the ceremony. As reported by Reuters.com, the multi-day event is claimed to have cost $50 million, with the celebrations starting earlier in the week.

"I'm going to weep!" Lauren Sanchez told Vogue about her final wedding dress fitting, referring to her Italian lace wedding dress, which was hand-applied, high-necked, and corseted. I felt like a princess because it was more potent than I had anticipated.

Lauren stated that the referential concept was modeled after the high-necked lace wedding dress that Sophia Loren wore to marry Cary Grant in the 1958 movie Houseboat, as opposed to the contemporary, strapless form that she typically favors for red carpets. She shared how she wanted a timeless wedding dress.

"It shifted from 'I want a simple, sexy modern dress' to 'I want something that evokes a moment,' and here I am now. Five years ago, I was a very different person. I've been through a lot of counseling, and it's really changed me in a variety of ways. However, it's really Jeff. I haven't changed because of Jeff. I've been exposed by Jeff. I feel seen and secure. He gives me the freedom to be myself. He allows me to be unapologetically free, as I previously said about Sophia Loren, Lauren added.

As part of an extravagant ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy, Lauren's modest wedding gown, which she had been planning for a year and a half prior to the wedding, took more than 900 hours to make. Shortly after uttering "I do," Lauren posted a picture of Jeff and her in their gorgeous wedding attire on Instagram.

As she revealed a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her pre-wedding preparations, Lauren referred to her gorgeous wedding dress as a "piece of poetry." She was seen in one image wearing the Dolce and Gabbana attire while surrounded by a crowd of onlookers. "Not just a gown, but a piece of poetry. Thank you Dolce and Gabbana for the magic you created," she penned in the caption.
