With total sales of 22,315 vehicles in May 2025, the Korean automaker Kia India reported a year-over-year growth of 14.43%, compared to 19,500 units sold in the same month of 2024. The company highlighted the amazing response to the recently released Kia Carens Clavis. The starting price of the MPV, ex-showroom, was ₹11.49 lakh.

The next Kia vehicle is scheduled to debut in July, the business said, which is interesting. The first electric car produced in India by Kia is likely to be the Kia Carens Clavis. The forthcoming product will seamlessly integrate sustainability with Kia's design prowess and cutting-edge technology, all while being thoughtfully created to satisfy the changing mobility needs of Indian consumers, the firm said, in an effort to revolutionize its industry.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV: What to anticipate

The future Kia Carens EV will have a design that resembles the Carens Clavis. In addition, there would be a few unique design features. Because it's an electric car, it would have a closed-off grille that looks like the Kia EV9. In addition, the alloy wheels would have a fresh appearance, and the front and back bumpers would be redesigned. According to the spyshot, the vehicle will have a greater ground clearance and a different suspension configuration.

The Kia Carens EV would be equipped with a ton of amenities. Additional features may include a wireless phone charger, 360-degree surround view camera, air purifier, and other amenities, but the vehicle is anticipated to have a fully digital instrument cluster and a big touchscreen infotainment system.

The upcoming Kia Carens EV is anticipated to have a similar powertrain to the next Hyundai Creta EV. The vehicle would then be powered by a 45 kWh battery pack and an electric motor, which are used in the entry-level Hyundai Kona EV in international markets.
